Danielle has two great full-band gigs coming up! We are thrilled to be a part of the 2010 Philadelphia Film and Music Festival. We will be on the South Street Outdoor Stage on Sunday, September 26th at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, October 16th we will be playing at The National Underground in NYC (yes!!) - the band goes on at 9:00 PM. There is a good chance that we will be doing a bus trip for the NYC show - stay tuned for details! For more information on these two shows, see Danielle's Calendar Dates.

Happy hot, steamy July! I have a little hot and steamy news to share with everyone (we certainly can’t let the weather take credit for all things hot and steamy in the universe, now can we?!?). My dear friend and fellow musician and photographer Bryan J. Zimmerman has launched a podcast called “The Indie Arena” to be featured on his website Life, Death, And Other Famous Recipes.

“The Indie Arena” is a bi-monthly podcast of interviews and music from independent musicians from around the globe, spanning all genres. I am very honored and excited to have been chosen the first musician to be interviewed and featured on Bryan’s podcast. It was a lot of fun to do, and I am thrilled to share it with all of you!

I’d also like to acknowledge my band for all the hard work and great job they did: Bill Melcher, Dave Joachim, Doug Ashby and Kathleen Warren. Thank you all – you are a joy to work with!! Many thanks, as well, to Jennifer Norfolk for the incredible buffet, my sister Hali for all her hard work and support, and LVPA for allowing us to host our release at their beautiful Black Box Theatre. Singer/Songwriter Danielle Lubené is set to release her new CD, 'Post Cards from the Sea of Me'. Prior to writing and recording the new album, Ms. Lubené had taken a few years off to raise her daughter, and in the interim became a bit of a recluse. With the encouragement of acclaimed Harrisburg producer Jason Rubal (Dresden Dolls, Hierosonic), Danielle was coaxed out of seclusion and back to her music. She went into the studio in October with Jason and the result of their collaboration is the powerful and beautiful Post Cards from the Sea of Me. This CD fully encompasses Ms. Lubené’s signature melding of edginess and ethereal sensuality. The CD Release Show is set for Sunday, January 31, 2010, 7:00PM at the Black Box Theatre in Bethlehem, PA.

Danielle has finished tracking for her new CD, 'Post Cards From The Sea Of Me'. It was recorded at Seventh Wave Studio in Harrisburg, PA by producer Jason Rubal, who is currently working on mixing and mastering the CD. Danielle had an amazing experience recording with Jason and is completely thrilled with what they have accomplished together. 'Post Cards From The Sea Of Me' is set to be released in early January.

We here at Danielle Lubené headquarters are delighted to announce that Danielle will be heading into the studio in October to record her new CD. We are DOUBLY delighted to announce that she will be working with acclaimed producer and musical guru Jason Rubal (Dresden Dolls, Hierosonic) at his Seventh Wave Studio in Harrisburg, PA.
The artist and producer share a very similar philosophy regarding music (and a bit about life, as well), and Danielle is truly looking forward to this collaborative journey!
